Wow, what a whirlwind weekend! I think I went almost three days without sleep. Let me see if I can catch you up.
Wednesday I satyed up all night cooking, because my hubby had to work Turkey Day and I wanted to get the meal on the table at 11am. (crazy huh?)
Thursday we had our big feast and DH went off to work. That night my parents showed up to make a gingerbread house and my mom decided she wanted to do black friday shopping with me.
Now the nearest shopping is 2+ hours away, so I intended to leave around 3am. My mom got the wild idea to leave when my DH got home from work at 11pm. So we did, and drove through the night to Palm Springs. We messed drove around town a little bit, plotting our course, and settled into the line at Toys R us at 2:30am. Good thing too, the line was already starting to build. We were about the 15th or so in line. The doors opened at 5am and guess what I got....
thats right! Elmo TMX. I couldn't believe it. They were hiding behind customer service and I was the very first to get one. I saw the associates bring them behind the counter when I was out standing in line. It was kinda cool because people were yelling at each other for one, and I was able to get mine and be far out of the way. HAA!! So I grabbed everything on my list for toys r us, including all my daughters birthday gifts (it's on the 29th). We were out the door and in line at Target at 5:50am.
Target was a weird experience. The line was all the way around the building (we were at the very end of it) but once we got inside it was so quiet and tranquil. It was actually pretty freaky. THEN we turned the corner into the toy isle. *screeeeeeech* there were allll the people. That was the worse traffic jam ever. But we had such a great time. We laughed so hard with the people in line at Toys R Us, and got be pretty good friends by the time the door opened. The group around me all exchanged a list of out 1 must have and we all grabbed that thing for the other person to make sure that we all got our most important item. When we met up, we ended up dumping a pile on the customer service desk of the extras, but everybody made sure they were covered. It was sooo cool!!! OH, and I got Richards one thing he asked for! (That is a whole 'nother story)
Okay, so Friday we turned around at 8am and drove back to Blythe, and spent the day cleaning and cooking and wrapping presents. My brother and Sister in law showed up around 8pm and we ate dinner and when my DH got home at 11pm we all drove to my parents house in Lake Havasu, AZ. We got there around 3am and FINALLY got to go to bed. At that point I was up roughly 40 somthing hours. I got 10 minute cat naps here and there, but holy moly I was beat.
Saturday, we got up and had the family Turkey and Ham feast and we decorated my mom's tree.
Sunday morning we finally got to go home and sleep! HA! I am so excited though, I got almost all the shopping done for the kids and my husband. I just need to find one thing for my son, and pick up his bike that his bio-mom bought him. Oh....and I got MY Christmas must have too. I know, I am a lamo! ROFL

Well, that is all I can think of, your prolly tired of reading anyways HAAA!!!!!
