Another Crazy Week

WOW, I am exhausted. We had such a crazy week here. Not alot of running around crazy, just happenings in the house. My daughter busted her head open and had to go to the hospital and get a staple in her head. Ouch. (She's ok though....we got it out and she acts like it never happened). I have been sick again, I must have the worlds worst immune system. My sweet husband stayed home Monday and Tuesday to take care of the kids, while I stayed in bed. Which actually was really great for my designs. Julie and I are really close to finishing the first Purescrapability.com newsletter to be released September 1st. Speaking of this week, my great friend Julie Howard is having a guest team call. You girls should apply, her designs are so cute!

Ohhhhh I went shopping yesterday! Until now, my designing has been done either on my tummy in bed, or sitting on the floor with my laptop in the coffee table. What a pain right? Well, we drove out to Palm Springs  and bought the cutest desk.  I can't wait to be able to hook up my EHD and printer, and leave them out. Right now they are hiding in the book shelf from my kiddos. LOL

A finally, I have to tell you all about this rockin contest over at Divine Digital.

“PROJECT DIVINE: Last DIVA SCRAPPER Standing!”

A six week scrapping competition with elimination at each round….the layouts are loaded anonymously so it is not a popularity contest but rather a battle of LAYOUT ARTISTS!  The last Diva Scrapper winner at end will receive one of everything in our boutique as well as any sponsored donations

We will be taking registration for the contest through a form process through August 23. And the more members in the contest the more fun it will be for all that compete!  Even designers (excluding hostess, sponsors and team members of Divine Digital) can compete!  And for those that do not participate in the competition we have the Celebrity Crops and a Daily Download-A-Day Freebie designed by our team (that when collected will make an AMAZING MEGA Kit called “Divine Friendships: Sisters by HEART”.  So plenty of stuff for all that attend the event over the 6 weeks.

Amber Clegg ROCKS!

So, Amber and I did a collab kit together for The Digichick and I have to tell you, this chick so cool! She is so fun to chat with and really a wonderfully talented designer. We created Eclectic Connection to celebrate friends and those special relationships that remind you how important your girlfriends really are. This kit is huge and packed full of wonderful elements. So I told you all we bought my four year old a quad right? Well, I didn't expect him to grasp the concept of riding it so quickly. We haven't had the thing month and he already is jumping it. Ok, not tires of the ground jumping, but more like his butt left the seat jumping. Followed by a "MOM! Did you see me jump mom? I rock!!!" ROFL He is so cute. Here is a photo from the first time he rode. I need to get out there and take some more. He is such a natural. I have been riding quads since I was about 12, and my husband has rode motorcycles all his life, so I think these kids will have pre-mix in their blood. ROFL

So I saw a post somewhere about a designer missing her mojo. I have to say, I think it is going around. I have been slacking in the designing department. I released Smarty Pants last week, finished the collab with Ams and am half way through another kit, but somehow I feel like I have been doing nothing. ROFL. I am working on the premiere issue of the PSA newsletter with Julie Howard and am working on a PSA banner program, but man I just feel lackadaisical about it all. BUT, out of it all, I have been scrapping. Jacque Larsen is an amazing scrapper, we all know that, and the past week or two I have been talking to her almost every night. It is honestly like being in the presence of genius. I am not saying that I am a better scrapper for it ROFL, but she definitely inspires me to create.

Just a little post

It is 1:20 am on Thursday night and Jacque and I can't sleep. We are gabbing away, and I have realized I need to update my blog. In a moment I will be posting a few layouts that she is working on as I type this. Isn't it fun to be apart of the process?  I also finished up a new kit tonight. Whoa NELLY!

I must have woke this morning on speed. I have been surgically glued to my computer for the last two days making kits. Three actually. I finished up the collaboration with Amber Clegg (look for it at The Digichick) and I am working on two kits that I am hoping to finish today and tomorrow. I am so excited that I have been so productive, but my house has suffered. This morning I woke up and started a cleaning spree. I scrubbed, mopped, washed, and vacuumed every inch of this house. Then I went to the outside and cleaned the front and back porch. I am on my bum now, but I have a load of laundry running, so I guess that still counts huh? LOL

I have two new guest team members this month. These girls are fab!

Jennifer Woodbury is uber-talented. Her photographs are breathtaking. This girl really knows how to handle a camera. Her layouts are always inviting and wonderful to look at. She is innovative in her style and each page is just as refreshing as the last . You can see her gallery HERE

Christine Cook is such a fun person to know. I met Christine when she began commenting on my blog. One look at her gallery and I was loving her style. My cousin and her kids came to town this past weekend, and her sister took us all out to the river for BBQing and rafting. We are about 2 miles from the river here, so this is quickly going to become a regular event. I love being on the water and the kids are already enjoying themselves.
